Wow this just burns my britches. My wife told me about this as it is reported in a German Newspaper and so I had to come home and find it online so I could blog about it. A 55 Year old mother has an epiphany and understands that her electric dryer is burning up the energy and therefore contributing to global warming. So she decides that the best thing to do is to hang her laundry outside to dry. She strung a clothesline in her back yard and started hanging clothes. That’s when her neighborhood [sic] went into shock, and took legal action against her to force her to remove her clothesline.
Now here’s what gets me who the FUCK determines who can do what on their own property? As far as I remember the United States if you own property it is yours and basically as long as you don’t do something that “BREAKS THE FUCKING LAW” you are free to do what you want. So here we have a law abiding citizen (no law in her town says you can’t dry your clothes outside, although there are some backwards communities that have them from what I hear) being forced to change what she does on her property. If the busy bodies of her town would just keep their noses out of her back yard they wouldn’t even have noticed most likely. I know if someone would have complained to my parents about something like this when I was a kid my dad would have got his shotgun and told them to get the fuck off his land (I grew up in a suburb of Dayton Ohio). I really wonder what has happened to the land of my birth because obviously they have gotten so full of themselves they have forgotten what it means to be an American. It makes me feel that the seven years I served defending American freedom was worthless since the American people don’t have freedom in any sense.
Here’s my advice to those Americans who want to dry their clothes outside. Tell the nosy busy bodies to get the fuck off your property. Tell them while they are wasting their money you are saving up for a nice trip somewhere. Finally tell them that if they don’t like it they can move to another country because this is America, and here we are FREE!!!!!
